Join us for a dynamic conversation featuring Dr. David Eisenberg (Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health) and Natalie Hayes (Vitamix Foundation, moderated by Katie Welch (Teaching Kitchen Collaborative) as they share the evolution, current status, and future direction of a multi-year initiative aimed at transforming how nutrition is taught in medical education.

Launched with foundational support from the Vitamix Foundation, this initiative aims to identify and elevate innovative approaches to teaching nutrition that align with recently published consensus competencies and to engage leaders across medical education in shaping a more unified, effective, and equitable model of nutrition training.

This session will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the initiative’s development—from its inception to its current momentum—and provide a preview of what’s ahead, including plans for a national convening in 2026 and the continued development of a prototype repository of nutrition education resources.

Whether you're a medical educator, academic leader, policymaker, or health professions student, this session offers a unique opportunity to explore a landmark initiative, understand its growing impact on the future of medical nutrition education, and discover ways to get involved.

Speakers:
David Eisenberg, MD, Adjunct Associate Professor of Nutrition, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health; Founder and Senior Advisor, Teaching Kitchen Collaborative
Natalie A. Haynes,
Executive Director, Vitamix Foundation
