This webinar has been approved to provide 1 CPEU for RDs/DTRs, for both those who attended live and those who watch the video recording.
Join us for this webinar, where we explore the powerful intersection of food, cooking, and mental well-being. This session will highlight how teaching kitchens can serve as healing spaces for us all, including individuals with mental health conditions, emphasizing the important role that food and nutrition play in mental health. We will review the current research on the bidirectional relationship between mental health and our eating patterns, including the gut-brain axis, the findings of nutritional psychiatry, intuitive eating and nutritional functioning. Participants will walk away with practical tools and strategies for creating safe, inclusive spaces, using cooking as a somatic, strength-based experience, and integrating mindfulness techniques. Whether you’re a facilitator, educator, or any health professional, this webinar will provide you with valuable insights and resources to support individuals on their mental health journey through food.
