This webinar has been approved to provide 1 CPEU for RDs/DTRs, for both those who attended live and those who watch the video recording.

Join Trevor Findley, JD, and Kristen McEnroe of the Food Law and Policy Clinic at Harvard Law School for a timely discussion on the rapidly evolving state policy landscape related to nutrition education for healthcare professionals. Building on remarks shared during the recent Convening on Best Practices in Nutrition in Medical Education, the speakers will examine emerging legislation and policy trends impacting undergraduate medical education (UME), graduate medical education (GME), and continuing medical education (CME) requirements across the country.

The webinar will also feature insights and updates from the 2026 Food is Medicine Conference (FIMCON) and Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill, highlighting current efforts to advance nutrition education and Food is Medicine policies at the federal and state levels. Participants will gain a better understanding of the growing momentum behind nutrition education policy initiatives, learn how to monitor legislative developments in their own states, and explore ways to engage with policymakers and professional organizations in support of evidence-based nutrition education and experiential learning opportunities—including teaching kitchen models—within healthcare education and practice.

Panelists:

Kristen McEnroe, Clinical Fellow, Harvard Law School Food Law and Policy Clinic
